Dissociation

Dissociation was my first ever devised and directed performance. This was initially nerve-racking as I had never undergone being a director before. Of course this was for assessment purposes overall.

Dissociation was about the 'dream-state', nightmares, trauma being used in dreams/nightmares, sleep paralysis. All of it.

I had fellow Actor Sean Gibson do a voiceover for the performance explaining his real life troubles with Sleep Paralysis. I used this so the audience would have something comparable to a fictionalised performance of Sleep Paralysis and real life Sleep Paralysis.

I was extremely happy with the end result of this performance and my actors enjoyed working alongside me.
