We've just reached the f first quarter of the tour, having a break in October feels unnatural to me.
Jacsk & The Beanstalk by M&M Productions, directed by Ellis Gostelow has been a much more relaxed experience. I would go ahead and assume it's because I've already done a tour with this company before so I already understood what I was getting into. It also helps that both Jack and Prince Ryder have very similar characteristics. I often said that Prince Ryder had much more of a cocky ego to himself, whereas Jack is much more of a mischievous child.
After having done a pantomime last year and really getting to grips with the audiences I'd be dealing with I knew I enjoyed the style of show. Which would mean for future reference that Adult Pantomimes are something I'd definitely consider.
Having struggled a lot last year with the body language and overall mannerisms needed to be a Principal Boy I can safely say that this year everything slotted like a glove. It came a lot more naturally to me and I just overall felt much more confident in myself.
Dancing is generally always something I have to work a bit harder on so often in moments when I wasn't being directed or wasn't needed I'd put my headphones on practice the dance elsewhere within the room. Always and constantly working on something.
Feels nice to be singing again having it be one of the stronger areas I have when it comes to Musical Theatre. It's Reach vs Dance The Night Away from last year and I must admit, I prefer Dance The Night Away!
We still obviously have our evening jobs like mentioned last year within the Snow White post, Cleaning Mics, Cleaning Costume and Cleaning our Production Van. This year of course we have a different team which includes a different Tour Manager. No longer Team Leaders...
My Tour Manager has given an extra job, which includes "bins" simply just clearing the bins whenever they get full.
I'm currently at home as of writing this at the moment but once we're back on 03/11/12 we'll be going straight back into it on the following Monday. Starting in Birmingham.
More photos to come!
